And I be giving 'em some food for they thoughts cause I ain't into hangin' out with they flock They can talk all the talk that they want to talk cause I'm not givin' into the mockery -not at all. He be the B W with the clout he turnin' round steppin' up to new grounds cain't nobody faze him cause he's aimin' for another level eloquent international - Once upon a time, I'd get up on the mic - wucha say? - Something simple and kinda cheerful, it was quaint - whucha do? got involved with a crew that allude to my existence in the true form of the norm only known to a few - Soon it was like I was left outta sight - whucha want? - Recognition from the music that I write - what they say? Mmm, nothin' much, but it pushed something inside me to get my feelings up outta the madness. And I be giving 'em some food for they thoughts cause I ain't into hangin' out with they flock They can talk all the talk that they want to talk cause I'm not givin' into the mockery -not at all. He be the B W with the clout he turnin' round steppin' up to new grounds cain't nobody faze him cause he's aimin' for another level eloquent international - So I went back where I started in my zone - wucha say? - Well I started hittin' keys and blowin' smoke - whucha do? Gave another try, took a ride and realized they'd never cease to supersede to criticize 'til they're demise - Stupid chumps be droppin' crumbs into my lunch - whucha want? - Some support instead of givin' me the crunch - what they say? Mmm, nothin' much, but it pushed something inside me to get my feelings up outta the madness. And I be giving 'em some food for they thoughts cause I ain't into hangin' out with they flock They can talk all the talk that they want to talk cause I'm not givin' into the mockery -not at all. He be the B W with the clout he turnin' round steppin' up to new grounds cain't nobody faze him cause he's aimin' for another level eloquent international - Now I've reached a quote "high precedence" - wucha say? - It's a trip, enjoy the dreams you manifest - whucha do? Compose a beat and write a rhyme tweak the levels 'til they feelin' just right for the nine yard dash - I'm only kickin' off startin up the game - whucha want? - To feel fullfilled from my creativity - what they say? And I be giving 'em some food for they thoughts cause I ain't into hangin' out with they flock They can talk all the talk that they want to talk cause I'm not givin' into the mockery -not at all. Now I'm feelin' to scratch an itch that I've yearned for ever since the second this door opened -which I never wished for, but I've been tempted to check it out and it's about time they finally let these freaks out So who's up to get touched I'm checkin' around the place gettin' an array of tastes when suddenly this girl pulls me -hey! No other words could be exchanged It's just one of them things when you know -you know and you just go with the flow of the game So it's on from look one Temptation initiates an extension of incredible proportions Ha, I ain't one of them types to bullshit with my hands in my pocket so I drop my drawers to the floor prop her up and maneuver my red rocket... Aw shit! I bust my grip! start trippin' of havin' octopuses wigglin' outta my dick -What the hell is going on! I yell As I realize that the rooms done flipped totally upside down! Now, I've seen some wierd shit but I never seen a girl that I just fucked mutate into the Grinch that stole Christmas Oh damn! The whole backdrop falls apart and like that I'm in a black hole with a bunch of flies spinnin' 'round me! Ahhh! So hell ya, at this point I'm in a bad state I knew I shouldn't have smoked with towlie he always like it laced "wanna get high" I'm the type that usually chilled with style and grace but hey, it's official now I'm just craaaazy! I can feel it through my body it's like a phone call to myself Almost like a sweat before the cards is delt Kinda like when someone yells out for help something like a rush before the words are born the chords are blowin' similar to car horns within' honkin' at me anxcious like: "Get the fuck in!" I gotta listen to myself cause it's myself drivin' it step in and hit the gas and let the task begin. Why do I call you each hour in a day? Why do I call you... ...My ass is in a situation graspin' wind I'm askin' frineds how the hell I'm gonna win I can't believe I broke free now I'm in the beat Speakin' what I feel and just being me and even if the feelings so surreal it's for real, and I feel healed (so much that ) When I hear it back It's like a load off the shoulders and the boulders getting tagged writing down all the love and the hate that I used to have Spittin' all I got and all I gots a pen and pad I wouldn't have it any other way it's what I like I focus on the path and carry on as I'm asked And if I'm being called to come back home I'm doing that. Why do I call you each hour in a day? Hang around your doorsteps just to see your face? And it's sad when neglet dawns upon a calling pawn That's deserving to be king, cause his king can't carry on and the only thing to make it happen is to let him go lead him to the masses through the streets of every town everybody listen to the words that I speak Said a young tall man on a warm summers eve the microphone cut and the music turned up soon the people thought it was part of the opera 6 years later he's back at the same spot -an oath, he made a promise to all of his confidants And now he knows his gift he can give what the people want wether it be rap tactics or radical hiphop and it's like that and he continues with all he can -the stars you see in the sky are the marks he left behind and that guy I see, I continue to listen on Cause that guy is me speaking to me in every song. Why do I call you each hour in a day? Why do I call you each hour in a day? Hang around your doorsteps just to see your face? Hang around your doorsteps just to see your face?

You know, I paid my dues doing this thang Here's a, little knowledge comin' your way It's strange, I'm stuck overseas I can't leave Nobody else except good 'ol me see I used to raise up in the streets Los Angeles '89-96 Playing that game rockin' terrain, smokin' them thangs, makin' it rain -the bang bang. Things don't change, cause 10 years later, I'm chillin' overseas seeing these kids, clutchin' they fists, comin' equipted I did these deeds a long time ago -now what the fuck is this I thought at times speed we'd move on na, it's just the same song Generation after generation non-stop-pump-pump -penetration that's whole emancipation all of it I had a kind of revelation Like damn, I knew I should've done it ya, I've done fucked up, now I choosen how to run it. Sometimes people gotta dip in the shit they gotta dig in the dirt and fuck with it Things is getitn' a little bit rough they like to flex the toughness that they can't fuck with us -ha! Sometimes them fakes just get me down I just wanna knock 'em out Them games they play just get me wound I wish that they could walk my old grounds East, Echo, Crenshaw, Downtown, All over So Cal and out All ghettos in the world laugh and frown on them fools who just don't know... They like to get up all it. Big time shots like they own the whole city. I'm just ridin' all low OG Los Angeles -you know! -ha! Like I said, I'm overseas chillin' Exile shit -ya, I ain't trippin' and that's the way the twist seems to go and now I try to spit some wisdom on them new kids that flow. Cause, You ain't got nothing to say when it's from around the way -no You ain't seen nothing on streets When it comes to droppin' heat and you ain't got no game when it comes to set trippin' claimin' they name no they can't see no risk until they end up in a real ghetto on some real shit. Seems like almost every city bowin' down to submit gettin' greedy with they thangs they want everything they see on television now how the fuck you wanna become another's vision half of these punks ramblin' shit askin' me questions like: How you did your dues Blake? Yo, I ain't sayin' nothing Better figure out for yourself and change something cause I've been in it one time one too many and I'm zippin' the crimes Thought how I can get out and not dip in it again you'd be doing the same shit no, you ain't callin' my friends you wouldn't know what they 'bout 6 feet deep -shoutin' out I know they be seeing the shit that I be doing and they looking at me proud cause they know I be improvin' Comin' up in this new game like this Mecs beats helpin' with this -yes He hit the vibe with me, I hit the vibe with him and so it's on to win. So why do I spit the things that I spit Maybe it's just me, tryin' to get a grip. I don't even know, this is kind of a skit so, lets get gone and zone with the chorus. Some things happen on they on let it show itself in it's time so long as people learn they own keep on questioning why it's wrong Try change and walk away from Those who could probably harm Don't wait too late until your lost It can take some time to adjust -That's right -BLake, Mecs-Treem, 2008 ya'll Sometimes them fakes just get me down I just wanna knock 'em out Them games they play just get me wound I wish that they could walk my old grounds East, Echo, Crenshaw, Downtown, All over So Cal and out All ghettos in the world laugh and frown on them fools who just don't know...

- SYNOPSIS OF THE ALBUM -

Blake Worrell's "The Second Coming" is a unique soundtrack made up of nine skits and nine songs which are interwoven into an imaginary journey through his mind. Featuring his many voices, he encounters various characters that play out a dream shaped by his thoughts.

As an eminent neuroscientist invites him to test a new experiment that will make him travel deeper into his subconscious (Track 1 - Intro), it becomes unclear where the truth ends and the fantasy begins, and one reality unfolds into another throughout... So now fairground bells ring and "Circuz" (Track 2) lauches the ride!
Blake celebrates the game of life, you choose what you play, "dream the dream no matter what or who says...".

Suddenly, he enters a deli where the chef warns him of the distasteful gossip witnessed over lunch (Track 3 - "At the Deli"). Unmoved and unsurprised, Blake gives them some "Food for Thought" (track 4) to chew on before he is led behind the kitchen to visit an old friend and then in through a hidden passage way (Track 5 - "Passage"), voices and music grow as he nears a door.

Heavy beats, flashing lights, and thumping speakers. The door opens and everything is magnified and throbing to the rhythm of "Chunka Boom" (Track 6).
An employee of the club takes him further underground (Track 7 - "A Lure") towards a "Temptation" (Track 8) den of decadence into which Blake plunges with appetite until he suddenly finds himself falling into the drain of the backstage bathroom sink, where everything fades out (Track 9 - "Spinout").

From the blackness within, he falls into himself intertwining with his darkest corners -Suddenly, a phone rings. Hip Hop Calling (Track 10) is from his soul, calling him to come back to his roots. His soul reminds him that no matter how hard things get, his individuality will always prevail in any circumstance.

Through his earphones, the sounds of the street rise and reach his consciousness. He wakes up sharply to cold steel as someone tries to rob him of his walkman at gunpoint (Track 11 - "Street Sense"). Exhausted, he pauses his thoughts to explain his past and his outlook on the present in Persuaders (Track 12), which gets him landing safely at the airport where he is picked up by his beatmaker, Mecs-Treem (Track 13 - "Landing").

A sense of Glory (Track 14) fills him with gratitude on the ride to go to a concert. Mecs-Treem pulls up behind an industrial site and leads Blake to the stage, when suddenly Blake's phone rings and is shocked to hear the neuroscientist trying to tell him something. Puzzled, Mecs-Treem tells him to avoid any confusion and focus on rocking the show. The garage doors open to reveal a crowd cheering him on (Track 15 - "The Second Coming"), Blake feels ignited and starts to Pump up (Track 16) the people with energy with a message to unite.

Later, a doorbell rings in somewhere in a high class residential neighborhood. A butler answers to find the neuroscientist has dropped in for a visit. The butler escorts him down a long elegant hallway to a large room where piano is being played. Hearing the familiar voice, Blake calls through from the living room telling him to come in, at which point we discover all of the characters are present (Track 17 - "Back Home").

Reunited, they recognise their bond to one another within Blake, and parade together in a burst of enthusiasm cause they just make each other feel So Good! (Track 18)

- THE MAKING OF THE ALBUM -

After 2 years of just listening to the instrumentals that Mecs-Treem gave me, I finally locked myself in the studio and cooked up "the Second Coming" in about a 1 1/2 months. The song "Circuz" was the first track I worked on back in early Fall 2008 -but that was it. The rest of the tracks and skits were done around the release date. "Spinout" was freestyled/recorded/mixed and mastered in 25 minutes, it was the last track I worked on before the album went out for release -just 5 hours after!

The story was originally realized when I first made my favorite picks of Mecs-Treem's tracks and dragged and dropped them onto my playlist. The organization of the tracks and idea never really changed since I first heard them in 2008. After hearing them through the next 2 years I would develop the ideas in my head. In the beginning of February 2010, I locked myself in the studio and dove into the tracks and ideas that manifested.

Within the album there are a total of 13 characters I play including myself. They are (in order of appearance): Old man, Secratary, Dr. Llerrow, French guy, Chef, Worker, Gay guy, Stoner, Guard, Cholo, Butler, Cowboy, Alien. Shaylee Nilaya Morgan features in the chorus of "Food for Thought" and in the Bridge of "Pump Up". There is a guest appearance by Mecs-Treem in the tracks "Landing" and "The Second Coming". I feel I must also mention the Bleu Bird was visiting at the time I was finishing the album and also sang on the chorus of "Pump Up" to help me add more voices to it.

Thanks to Thomas Grummt (a.k.a. isotope) and Sven Ludwig, I was able to Mix and Master the album in a tight timeframe (about 5 days). We transferred files and full mix sessions via file exchange/servers due to the fact that Sven was in Cologne and isotope was at the opposite side of Berlin from where I am. Final mastering and output were done at my studio in Berlin.
